Multivehicle crash leads to multiple injuries near Florence

On Behalf of | Sep 28, 2018 | Motor Vehicle Accidents

Crashes happen on highways frequently. There is always the issue of high levels of traffic, and it’s easy to see how the stop-and-go nature of traffic could result in an accident. If you live in Kentucky or lower Ohio, then you’re familiar with I-71 and I-75. Both highways are particularly dangerous due to the heavy traffic flow each allows for every day.

Multivehicle crashes aren’t uncommon on I-71 or I-75, which is why the news about a multicar crash on I-75 on Sept. 16 isn’t surprising to hear about. With traffic at a high near Florence, Covington and Cincinnati, this scene is all too common.

This crash may sound like others you’ve heard of on the roadways. In the Sept. 16 crash, multiple vehicles collided near mile marker 183. The crash resulted in at least one victim being trapped in their vehicle. Multiple people suffered injuries, and they were taken to a number of hospitals in the Cincinnati, Covington, Florence and Edgewood areas.

Multivehicle collisions pose a number of issues including the risk of multiple fatalities and serious injuries. With the risk of multiple impacts per collision, victims could suffer from the initial blow, as well as others as each vehicle collides.

When you’re hurt in this kind of crash, it is sometimes hard to know who you can hold liable, especially when multiple drivers are involved. The most important thing for you to do is to make sure you get the medical care you need. Once the police determine fault, you can begin a claim against any driver who struck your vehicle.
