2 children hurt as truck collides with home in Northern Kentucky

Sometimes, car crashes don't happen on the road. Cars that leave the road could hit mailboxes, parked cars, homes or other items. Take, for example, this case involving a vehicle that collided with a home and injured two children inside.

In DeMossville, the crash happened at around 7:00 p.m. when a 21-year-old man was traveling south on Madison Pike. He was driving his pickup truck when he lost control and left the roadway. He didn't come to a stop until his vehicle collided with a nearby home.

Inside, a 4-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl were trapped under the truck. The younger girl was airlifted to the hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance. Fortunately, both are expected to survive despite scrapes and bruises.

The little girls were fortunate to survive. The truck picked up one end and folded it over them, potentially saving their lives. At the time of the crash, 14 people were in the home, but no one else was injured.

The driver did fail a sobriety test and has been arrested on charges including driving while under the influence of alcohol, 14 counts for wanton endangerment and two counts of criminal mischief.

If you are involved in an incident like this one, you should know that the driver of any vehicle who is driving dangerously should be held accountable for the injuries they cause. Your life may have been in danger, and it is well within your rights to seek compensation for the injuries that you've suffered and any pain you've been put through as a result of a crash.
